Our Story

Our founder began baking her own challah in 2018 as a way to better connect to her Jewish heritage. By Halloween of 2022, she was creating black chocolate challahs with googly eyes and pumpkin challahs shaped like actual pumpkins. With challah on the brain, it was only a matter of time before a breakthrough occurred.

While scrolling the internet for cute slippers for her bubbe for Chanukah, the screen was flooded with images of loaves: slippers in the shape of bread! Upon further investigation, none of the slippers were of the type beloved by Jews and goys with good taste: challah. Thus, the idea for Chlippers manifested and a business was founded.

Chlippers: tradition, for your toes!
